Glass work sells for $200!

Here at AIC, we always like to share stories about artists who incorporate Art-o-mat® into their overall production and promotion of their work.

Chuck Scalin (Richmond, Va.) is very active in his arts community. Eight years ago, he developed and curated a fund raising effort for Artspace Gallery in Richmond. The name of this show is “Think Small”. This invitational biannual exhibition has grown to include over 200 local, national and international artists who have accepted the challenge to produce work no larger that 3″x3″x3″ in all media.

This past summer for our 10th anniversary swap meet, Chuck brought small glass works (packaged in our boxes) to sell and trade. These works were created in very limited edition and disappeared quickly. If any of you snagged one of these pieces at our swap meet, take good care of it. Because, for this year’s “Think Small” exhibit, a framed piece from this edition sold for $200!
